Reading FC: Hull not the result Stam 'wanted'
Royals boss Jaap Stam is not happy with the draw against Hull in the Championship.
It took a late Jon Dadi Bodvarsson strike to rescue a point as Reading failed to win for the third successive league match.
"Of course it is not the result we wanted," Stam told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "But sometimes we need to be happy with the result as well.
"It is better to have a draw than lose the game."
And Stam was full of praise for Bodvarsson after his match saving intervention.
"Jon did very well when he came on.
"Sometimes you want to use that pace up front, that's why you make the decision...from the beginning of the game...to start with Roy [Beerens], to start with Sone [Aluko], and with Gareth [McCleary] in there.
"[Bodvarsson] is the type of player who works very hard for the team."
