For my son's marriage to work, I decided to not live with them
When it comes to looking after parents and elderly relatives, Asian people are often mentioned by politicians as a good example to follow. The care minister has told the Conservative party conference that when it comes to this, the rest of the UK should mirror the example of ethnic minorities. Nomia wanted to know if there was too much expectation on Asians to look after elderly relatives and caller 'Ghulsum' got in touch to share her heartbreaking story. She decided to live on her own in order to help her son's marriage work.
