‘Bayern appointing Heynckes is desperate’
Journalist Raphael Honigstein believes Bayern Munich are in “desperation territory” with their appointment of former coach Jupp Heynckes as manager for a fourth spell.
The German champions have confirmed the 72-year-old will take charge until the end of the season following Carlo Ancelotti's sacking.
German football writer Honigstein says the decision “buys” Bayern time so they can pursue Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann.
