Journalist Raphael Honigstein believes Bayern Munich are in 鈥渄esperation territory鈥� with their appointment of former coach Jupp Heynckes as manager for a fourth spell.

The German champions have confirmed the 72-year-old will take charge until the end of the season following Carlo Ancelotti's sacking.
