Police sex abuse budget 'would need to quadruple'
For police to tackle web images and live streaming of child sex abuse "you would need to treble or quadruple my budget...even..to touch the edges", said a chief constable.
Mike Barton said reclassifying web firms as publishers would mean existing legislation would then immediately apply to them.
He was speaking to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn and Conservative MP Esther McVey, after his soapbox film on the scale of the job of tackling online child sex abuse.
