‘Everton child-carrying fan shouldn’t get life ban’ - Jenas
Former England midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes the Everton child-carrying supporter who was involved in a confrontation with a Lyon player during Thursday's defeat at Goodison Park should not be banned for life.
Everton's Ashley Williams sparked the melee which saw an Everton fan - carrying a small child - appear to push Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.
Jenas described the fans decision to get involved as “absolutely ridiculous” and “completely irresponsible”, but says it’s a “shame” Everton have taken the decision to ban the individual from attending all future club fixtures.
