Philippines city 'liberated from pro-IS militants'
The southern city of Marawi had been held by Islamist fighters for five months. Ernesto Abella, spokesman for President Rodrigo Duterte, said the country has overcome 'the most serious threat of violent extremism and radicalism in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia'. Major General Restituto Padilla Jr. is spokesman for the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He told the 大象传媒's Dan Damon about the current situation in Marawi.
