Police chiefs complain of 'profound stretch'
Police chiefs from across England have said cuts to resources are placing a "profound stretch" on their ability to tackle crime, reports Shelley Phelps.
The chief constables were giving evidence to the Home Affairs Committee as part of its inquiry into the challenges and demands facing the police.
