Sierra Leone: The long road back from Ebola

The West African nation of Sierra Leone is facing some tough challenges. Back in June 2017, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) granted a $224m (拢171m) loan, which the government needed to pay the salaries of its civil servants. But critics say the country is essentially bankrupt, thanks to corruption and mismanagement.

Economic forecasts have been cut and some are flagging up a potential disaster in the banking system.

The 大象传媒's Lerato Mbele sat down with Dr Bernadette Lahai, leader of the opposition, the Sierra Leone People's Party.
