Reading FC: Kermorgant still has 'something to do'
The Royals striker Yann Kermorgant puts his retirement on hold in bid for promotion.
Despite announcing earlier this year that he would retire from football at the end of the 2017/18 campaign, Kermorgant has now signed a new deal committing him to Reading until the summer of 2019.
"I wanted to be part of the club for the new season," Kermorgant told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley.
"At the end of last season, with the big disappointment of not getting the reward of promotion, I feel like we still have something to do."
And Kermorgant admitted that new contract talks have been ongoing for some time.
"Just before pre-season started, it was something I was thinking about.
"With my injury we put it on hold, and waited to see how I recovered, and whether I could get back fit enough to arrange a new deal."
