When negotiations stall
Hilde Salvesen was part of the recent peace talks between the Colombian government and the Farc rebels. She was a member of the Norwegian delegation, which worked alongside Cuba to facilitate the process. When the talks broke down in the spring of 2015 following an ambush by Farc, which killed 11 soldiers, Hilde and her team stepped in, offering a simple solution to the deadlock.
