Stacey Solomon: 'Fairytale' that new mums 'know' what to do
Celeb mum Stacey Solomon says "you are fed this fairytale that as soon as you become a Mum you'll know what to do."
Stacey, a mother of two, spoke about the struggle she faced when she gave birth to her first child.
"I gave birth and felt an overwhelming responsibility," said Stacey, "there was an enormous amount of pressure to be perfect."
An online YouGov survey of almost 2,000 British parents with children aged 18 and under suggests that more than one third of mums (38%) had experienced mental health issues related to motherhood. That’s compared to 17% of dads.
