Brexit bill: 'Insufficient' progress on Irish border
A Fine Gael spokesman on European Union Affairs has said that while progress has been made in the UK's negotiations with the EU on budgetary matters, "insufficient progress" has been made on the Irish border issue.
Neale Richmond, a Fine Gael senator, was speaking after the news that the UK has offered a potential "divorce bill" to the EU, which could be worth up to 50bn euros (拢44bn)
He told Radio 4's World at One that although they have seen some proposals, they have yet to see any detail
that "meets what the Irish government, or the European negotiating teams, deem as significant progress".
