Taking care of a remote lighthouse… totally alone
There are lots of situations that test a new relationship. One couple in Australia has chosen a particularly make-or-break experiment. Jesse Siebler and Taylor Stevens are the current caretakers of Australia's southernmost lighthouse on Maatsuyker Island. It’s a temporary position organised by Tasmania’s Parks and Wildlife Service and Friends of Maatsuyker Island. Taking care of the lighthouse is actually a very sought after position and the couple competed against thousands of others. You can follow Jesse and Taylor on Instagram @thelighthousekeepers or on their blog at thelighthousekeepers.org.
