#mumtakeover: 'You鈥檙e mostly at home and you can鈥檛 go anywhere'
Young mums at a children鈥檚 drop in centre in Dewsbury told 5 live how they鈥檇 been affected by the birth of their children.
鈥淚t was difficult, especially when you have a child. You鈥檙e mostly at home and you can鈥檛 go anywhere, so you feel it鈥檚 already restricted 鈥 the amount of places you can go. You can get really lonely,鈥 said Aimen.
鈥淲hen you鈥檙e brought up in your own city, you get to know people even if you step out of your own house, but when you鈥檙e totally on your own it鈥檚 easy to fall into depression,鈥 said the mum of one.
More than a third of mothers have experienced mental health issues related to parenthood, according to an online survey of 1,800 British parents by the 大象传媒 Radio 5 live and YouGov.
