My mother taught me how to shoot a gun
Susan Cruz grew up in El Salvador but fled at age 8 when civil war broke out. Her first time with a firearm was an introduction to a life surrounded by guns. After moving to Los Angeles, Cruz joined a gang. Now, she is the president of Sin Fronteras, a non-profit that helps teens in conflict with the law. She has also decided that, due to all she鈥檚 witnessed, she鈥檚 better off without a gun.
