How well did Brexit talks go in Brussels?
There was a "misunderstanding" over the Brexit talks following a tweet from Irish journalist about a possible deal, said Conservative MP Kwasi Kwarteng, when asked about the DUP's stance on a potential agreement made between Theresa May and the European Union to move talks on to trade.
Shadow Brexit spokesperson Jenny Chapman said the Conservative handling of the talks was "embarrassing for the country", and that the DUP had told her "they felt they were not respected and included and informed."
Also in the Daily Politics debate on Brexit was Liberal Democrat leader Vince Cable, who said the Conservative handling of the negotiations was "incredibly incompetent", and that he was "disappointed with the lack of clarity" in Labour's position.
