Will Chicago futures trading give Bitcoin more credibility?
The CBOE financial market, one of the biggest in the US, has launched Bitcoin futures contracts, allowing investors to bet if the price of the virtual currency will rise or fall.
Some experts have warned the surge in the value of Bitcoin is a bubble, which will soon burst. But could the trading in futures contracts underpin the cryptocurrency, despite moves by some countries to ban it?
Garrick Hileman, a research fellow at the University of Cambridge has studied the rise of the currency and he tells the 大象传媒's Russell Padmore it will make it more legitimate.
