Joan Bakewell on her response to Pinter's Betrayal
In 1978 Harold Pinter sent Joan Bakewell a copy of his new play Betrayal. Upon reading it she discovered that it was based on an affair they'd had years earlier and which had remained a secret. Joan Bakewell talks to Kirsty Lang about seeing the affair portrayed on stage with such vivid accuracy.
