Would you have a baby shower like this?
A colour scheme, chandeliers and a wall made out of flowers might sound like components for a plush wedding.
For Saloma Kelly, a baby event planner, they are features of a lavish baby shower.
We spoke to Saloma and mum-to-be Maria at her shower, which featured a flower wall, chandeliers and customised water.
"A lot of people kept saying 'it's a very American thing'," Saloma said.
"In the UK now we're actually embracing having a time where you get with your girlfriends and have this fun time together," she added.
Saloma says lavish showers can cost upwards of £2,500.
Some people don't agree with the idea of a lavish baby shower - one commenter on a Netmums thread described them as 'a big load of nonsense'.
We asked Maria whether she thought her shower was over the top.
"It's my first child, and I just love a bit of lavishness, but each to their own," she said.
