'Puel almost exchanged punches in training' - Odemwingie

Claude Puel managed French club Lille for six years from 2002 to 2008.

Nigeria's Peter Odemwingie was there for three of those years and has joked that Puel was a bit too competitive in training!

Odemwingie, who played for West Brom, Cardiff and Stoke in the Premier League, believes Southampton's decision to sack Puel at the end of last season was harsh.

He insists the Frenchman is perfect for the Premier League and is confident Puel will flourish at new club Leicester City.
