A state of emergency is in force in four US states, and much of the central and northern seaboard is experiencing heavy snow, high winds and freezing temperatures. Airports have been closed and flights cancelled across the region. Rail and bus transport has also been affected. Steve Merczynski of the New York Radio Source talks to Fergus Nicoll about the economic impact of the severe winter weather.
