Ami Vitale is an American photojournalist who won a World Press Photo 2017 award for her series on China's panda breeding programme. Her work focuses on the conflict that often arises between humans and their environment, but Ami sees this as a good news story - where officials have stepped in to save a species that was at risk of extinction. But it was also a strange undertaking for her as a photographer.
