Betting machines are a 'spectacular failure'
A former Jeremy Corbyn aide, who is now a spokesperson for the Campaign for Fairer Gambling, told the Westminster Hour that fixed-odds betting terminals are a "spectacular failure" of the last Labour government. Matt Zarb-Cousin, who lost around 拢20,000 gambling on the machines, says he considered taking his own life. He has campaigned for the maximum stake to be reduced from 拢100 to 拢2 and said he is hopeful the Government will be "wise enough" to change the regulations.
