Chinese 'takeover' of Buddhist monastery
Buildings have been demolished and people evicted as Chinese authorities impose controls over what was one of the largest centres of Buddhist learning, according to campaign groups.
Human Rights Watch says it has obtained an 'official document' detailing how authorities will take administrative control over the monastery.
Larung Gar was one of the largest Buddhist institutes in the world but Chinese demolitions have reduced it in size.
