Speaker to 'boorish' male MPs: Cut it out
While Emily Thornberry spoke about votes for women and younger people, the Speaker intervened to warn of the "sad irony" of the behaviour of some male MPs in the Commons.
John Bercow spoke of one unnamed "rather stupid individual" and others trying to "shout the Rt Hon Lady down鈥 as the shadow foreign secretary asks about extending votes to women 100 years ago, and calling for a similar change for 16-year-olds today.
