100 years after women were given the right to vote, why do some choose not to?
In the 2017 General Election, the voter turnout was slightly over 68 per cent.
According to the British Election Survey it was roughly an equal percentage of men and women who voted.
100 years on from The Representation of People Act, which gave the first women the right to vote, why do some women still NOT vote?
5 live asked some women in Devon, who didn't vote in the last General Election, what their reasons are.
Kerry says she's never voted in her life - she's just never signed up. Kathryn feels guilty about not voting, but says "they never really deliver what they say anyway so what's the point?"
