Reading FC: Stam on a 'frustrating' defeat away at Middlesborough
Speaking after Reading's 2-1 Championship defeat away at Middlesborough, Jaap Stam said the result wasn't just hard on the fans, it was tough for the coaching staff to take too.
Jaap Stam, Reading Manager:
"We could have scored more if you see how we played, and how we conceded those two goals.
"They were very physical, not the easiest way to defend. Then you go one down before half-time, and it is difficult at that time. We talked at half-time about what we needed to do.
"Then we gave away a goal ourselves.
"You could get more out of it, but unfortunately we didn't do that."
