Xanax turned my daughter into an ‘aggressive zombie’
A mum has described how she got her daughter arrested after she became violent when under the influence of Xanax.
‘Michaela’ told 5 live’s Sarah Brett her daughter ‘Zoey’ turned from a ‘normal relatively well behaved teenager’ to a ‘zombiefied, aggressive person’ after using the drug.
Xanax is the brand name for Alprazolam, which is commonly prescribed in the US to treat anxiety, but is a controlled substance in the UK. It’s also how illegal and counterfeit versions of the drug are referred to by some users.
We've changed their names to protect Zoey's identity.
