I had to retrain my brain – Ryan Mason
Ryan Mason has been speaking to the ý for the first time since his decision to retire from football because of the fractured skull he suffered when playing against Chelsea in January 2017.
The 26-year-old revealed he suffered “brain damage” during the incident, and how as part of his recovery, Mason has had to retrain his brain in order to get the neural pathways working again.
The former Hull City midfielder also outlined the support Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has provided during his rehabilitation, describing the 35-year-old as a “great man”.
