The 90th Oscar Academy Awards in Hollywood featured many highlights, but there was a phrase that stood out during Frances McDormand's acceptance speech for winning Best Actress for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

An 'inclusion rider' is a clause that an actor can insist be inserted in their contract that requires cast and crew on a film to meet a certain level of diversity.

The term's popularity has surged since the speech, with around 30 million people searching for the term in Google.
