"We don't want to be in your fishbowl... We actually want to smash your fishbowl"
A special Late Junction collaboration session assembled to mark International Women's Day and celebrate the female musical collective.
Members of notable performance collectives, past and present, met at Maida Vale studios to improvise, record and discuss their experiences as women in sound.
The line-up for this one-off ensemble featured: Maggie Nichols, co-founder of the pioneering Feminist Improvising Group in 1977; Verity Susman, who was in experimental-alt-rock band Electrelane between 1998 and 2007; and Amble Skuse, a current member of the multi-location Orchestra For Females And Laptops, aka OFFAL.
