Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer, didn't turn up to face staff amidst a data scandal engulfing the social media giant.

Now the calls for an investigation and regulation of how the social media giant handles the personal data of millions of users are growing.
