Swann: 'Friendless' Australia deserve to get book thrown at them
Graeme Swann says 鈥渇riendless鈥 Australia 鈥渄eserve to get the book thrown at them鈥, after captain Steve Smith was banned for one match for his part in a ball-tampering incident in the third Test against South Africa.
Smith said that the team's "leadership group" had a plan, carried out by batsman Cameron Bancroft, to tamper with the ball to "get an advantage鈥.
Former England spinner Swann spoke to 5 live Sport about how the Aussies' reputation will be tarnished following the incident.
"They鈥檝e set themselves as this higher than high, this pious team who look down at everyone and set the benchmark for what is right and what is wrong in cricket when everyone that鈥檚 played against them knows that鈥檚 an absolute joke."
