George Fitzgerald, Baloji and Friday Film Club

Electronic musician George Fitzgerald chats about his optimistic new album; Baloji brings the sunshine from the DRC, via Belgium; and we have a Tom Ravenscroft Friday Film cameo.

Electronic musician George Fitzgerald makes his 6 Music Live Room debut, plugging in a lot of kit, to play tracks from his optimistic new album All That Must Be.

Baloji and his band bring some much-needed sunshine, performing two tracks from the new album 137 Avenue Kaniama. The album was inspired by Baloji's quest to find his mother's old home in Lubumbashi, when he was told to "just keep going" down the titular avenue - a phrase that just "stuck" in his head.

And Tom Ravenscroft makes an unexpected cameo appearance, welcoming Chris Hewitt to the Friday Film Club. Chris reviews Journeyman (directed by last week's guest Paddy Considine) and Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.
