What Is Stealthing?

It's illegal that's what it is...

What is 鈥榮tealthing?鈥 Well, it is the act in which a man removes a condom during sex without the consent of his partner. Now stealthing is nothing new. We鈥檝e probably all hear or experienced someone that doesn鈥檛 want to wear a condom and maybe have even had them try and remove a condom during sex.

But now, thanks to the internet there are forums in which men are sharing tips, tricks and experiences on how best to remove condoms without the other person noticing, and encouraging others to do the same. With many on the forums defending their actions on the basis of 鈥渕ale instinct鈥.

The risks of engaging in this behaviour are many: STDs, unplanned pregnancy and PTSD are just a couple. But more importantly than that it is the complete and utter disregard to another person鈥檚 body autonomy, ownership and consent.

Currently in the UK stealthing falls under section 74 of 'The Sexual Offences Act 2003' which defines consent as all participants agreeing freely to the event taking place. So that makes stealthing illegal.

And if you鈥檙e one of those people who don鈥檛 like wearing a condom, why not try out one of the many hundreds of brands, types, textures and materials out there until you find one that suits you.
