Standing up for civil rights through art
Radical artist Dread Scott discusses performance art and protest in the age of #blacklivesmatter. The work which involves being hosed by a fireman draws on the images of civil rights activists in the United States during the 1960s. Dread discusses how he performed this work during the aftermath of the shooting of the unarmed black teenager, Mike Brown by a police officer in 2014.
