Facial recognition: China's Orwellian future?
China has announced plans for widespread facial recognition camera coverage in cities and homes by 2020. The technology will be used to monitor the behaviour of citizens around the clock. Dan Damon asks whether the system will be used to protect Chinese people, as the authorities claim, or if it will it lead to a loss of personal freedoms.
