Arcade Fire!
Arcade Fire prank Ravers, we meet Serpentwithfeet (a talented singer-songwriter recommended to us by Bj枚rk) and convene the Friday Film Club.
Fresh from the first of three nights at Wembley, Arcade Fire chat to Tom Ravenscroft about fighting through the audience to reach their boxing ring in the round, surprise guests, and how support act The Preservation Hall Jazz Band have become like family. The band also prank Ravers, proving that humour can get lost in translation, or - at the very least - when chatting down an ISDN line.
Josiah Wise - AKA serpentwithfeet (a musician recommended to us by Bj枚rk) - performs two songs from his debut album in the 6 Music Live Room. Titled soil, the LP will follow 2016's Blisters EP, and is a more extroverted affair. Serpentwithfeet reflects upon working with several different producers, including the UK's own Paul Epworth.
And Chris Hewitt returns for Friday Film Club with news of scary clowns, James McAvoy and a collaboration between The Rock and The Stath (that's Jason Statham). Plus, reviews of Rampage and Thoroughbreds, while 1988 classic Heathers is this week's Hidden Gem.
