The rise of the eSport star
Cory Vincent, who works for US based NRG eSports, says eSports players who are 'loud and boisterous' become like 'rock stars' feted for their ability to 'drink their beers and go out and win a world championship the next day.'
Others rely on their incredible skill levels to become idolised by fans.
eSport is becoming increasingly popular, with players profiles growing and prize money getting bigger at major competitions, including in the UK.
In May, a major ESL Dota event is being held in Birmingham for the first time, with a prize pool of $1 million dollars.
Cory Vincent was speaking to Jonathan Legard at the London Games Festival, one of the world's largest gaming and esports events. Vincent works on the NRG players social media profiles and explains how eSports players can achieve recognition.
