Government defeated on the Brexit bill
The government has suffered two defeats in the House of Lords on the EU Withdrawal Bill -- the legislation preventing the UK being left in legal limbo when it departs from the EU.
The first defeat was on an amendment requiring ministers to report back on ways to keep the UK in a customs union with the EU, as Rachel Byrne reports.
