Salah up there with Messi and Ronaldo – Savage
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is comparable to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on current form, according to Robbie Savage.
The Egypt forward scored his 42nd and 43rd goals of a remarkable debut season at Anfield in the Reds’ 5-2 Champions League semi-final first leg victory against Roma.
Former Wales midfielder Savage compared the 25-year-old’s form to that of Messi and Ronaldo, acknowledged as two of the game’s leading current players.
“His impact on games in one of the toughest leagues in the world and now in the Champions League – you’ve got to say, on current form he’s certainly up there with those two,” he said.
