MPs call for the UK to stay in a customs union
MPs have debated a non-binding motion calling on the government to include in its negotiating objectives with the EU "the establishment of an effective customs union between the two territories".
The exchanges in the Commons came after an intervention by the Home Secretary, as Susan Hulme reports.
