Abbott: Now our attention turns to May
Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott has told The Westminster Hour that attention should now turn to Theresa May after Amber Rudd resigned as Home Secretary over her handling of the Windrush scandal. She told Carolyn Quinn: "I think Amber has done the right thing... Politics is a very hard and difficult game. I know that. But my sympathy at this point is with that generation of people who feel they鈥檝e been let down by the British Government. Of course we all need to turn our attention to Theresa May because it was in her tenure as Home Secretary that many of the worst aspects of the so-called hostile climate were pushed through."
