Should Sajid Javid change UK immigration policy?

The new Home Secretary should "change the culture" in the Home Office for a "firm but fair immigration policy, said Conservative MP, Andrew Bridgen, when asked if there should be a softening of its immigration stance.

Faiza Shaheen, director of the Centre for Labour and Social Studies, said a "hostile environment for some is working out to be a hostile environment for all immigrants", adding that deportation targets were "arbitrary".

They were speaking to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn about migration policies as Sajid Javid took over from Amber Rudd.
