MPs sceptical over Asda Sainsbury's merger
The chief executive of Sainsbury's has said a deal to merge his supermarket chain with Asda would not lead to shop closures or job losses in stores.
The deal would need approval from the Competition and Markets Authority. In the Commons, MPs demanded assurances that the interests of consumers, employees and suppliers would be protected.
