The writer of The Truman Show has said 'there is still no reality TV'.

The Truman Show starred Jim Carrey as Truman Burbank who had every aspect of his life televised live without his knowledge. It's almost twenty years since it was released.

Andrew Niccol told 5 live's Colin Paterson that when he wrote it there was no reality TV, and in many aspects 'there still isn't'.
