Today's Memory Taper Noreen, shared the tunes that sound-tracked the setting up of a record shop.

She says: "As long as I can remember, I've always been a ginormous music geek, which is probably why I've always worked in record shops. To be constantly surrounded by music. So it鈥檚 no real surprise that when the opportunity arose to set my own one up with my closest friends, I jumped at it.

We named the store 'Stranger Than Paradise Records鈥, after our favourite Jim Jarmusch film and soundtrack. Setting up Stranger Than Paradise was a monumental group effort and is a continuous labour of love. From the ground up, we鈥檝e had lots of help from our friends & family - from building vinyl racks, neon signs, designing logos, screen printing t-shirts and getting ourselves acquainted with the dark art of social media.

The aim was simply to create a wonderful, unique independent vinyl store in the heart of Hackney, London. I like to think we've done that - building a special space where you can discover new music and hangout with your friends, like we do every day. Our Memory Tape sums up the soundtrack of our time since opening just over a month ago, and is dedicated to all those that have supported us so far.鈥
