Gullit tells Dyche: 'You should've been manager of the year'
Ex-Chelsea player-manager Ruud Gullit tells Burnley boss Sean Dyche he should have been awarded manager of the year for 'the fantastic job' he's done this season.
The moment occurred pitchside at Wembley during 5 live Sport's FA Cup Final coverage, prior to kick-off.
Gullit said: "I think he should've been the manager of the year."
Dyche responded: "I've almost gone into shock and that very rarely happens to me!"
After a 16th-place Premier League finish last season, Burnley finished this year's campain in seventh position, securing a place in the Europa League play-offs.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was named the League Managers Association manager of the year, after guiding his side to the Premier League title and League Cup.
