Redknapp: Pellegrini ‘not an exciting appointment’ for West Ham
Former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has told ý Radio 5 live he was “a bit surprised” the club appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.
He says he doesn’t feel the former Man City and Real Madrid manager is an exciting appointment and that the club could have gone for one of the “great young managers in this country”, including Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Stuart Pearce.
Redknapp believes there are managers in the Championship that could do the job but “aren’t given the opportunities”.
