Whilst visiting an ice cream farm with her son and friends, the 大象传媒 Radio 5 live newsreader has been told her cancer is now metastatic and therefore incurable:
"I literally flung myself at my friend, hugged her and the other girls looked at me a bit 鈥極h no, what鈥檚 going on?鈥�"
"I just got Freddie together, got in the car, two minutes down the road from our house."
"Luckily Steve (Rachael's husband) was working from home that day. So dashed home as quickly as I could and just all the way home, saying to Freddie 鈥淚鈥檓 so sorry. I鈥檓 so sorry."
